Math 113
To meet student need for assistance, Math 113 or Modern Mathematics was added to the Supplemental Instruction family of courses in the fall of 2004 and has had quite a steady history of study sessions. It is a University Core Curriculum course in which many SIUC students, particularly freshmen and juniors, are enrolled. Although we encourage students to attend study sessions in as many courses offered through Supplemental Instruction as possible, we definitely encourage regular, weekly attendance of study sessions for this course. MATH 113 Supplemental Instruction facilitators help students gain more confidence in areas that include exponential growth, probability and geometrical ideas.

"SI will be a learning experience for both the students and myself. The study sessions should improve and reflect each student's study skills and overall understanding of the material."
